Just to get you through the day!

Naked smiling babies are the best aren't they?

Except for maybe this cute smiling face!
Love these kids! Every day I get to spend with them is one more day in Paradise! I'm so grateful that I get to be their Mommy and have their sweet spirits in my home!

6 Months

STATS:
Weight- 16 lbs 0 oz  40%
Length- 27 in 75%
Head- 17 in 50%

Some fun facts about Miss Gwen this month.
She loves anything that is her brother's. If he is playing with a toy, she wants it. I don't know if it's because she thinks it's cool cause he likes it or if she wants to make him mad because she wants it.

She Loves her Feet. She especially likes to suck on her toes, I think it's just because she has figured out how to get them there!

She loves being outside. Now that it's getting warmer outside we've taken her out a little bit. She loves feeling the cool breeze on her face and just breathing fresh air.

She has gotten quite a personality and loves to make noise. She sometimes yells just to hear herself yell. Or will sing along with Nixon and I in the car (because we have a few favorites that he jam to quite often.)

She has major "stranger danger" and doesn't want someone she doesn't know holding her. The only time it is ok is if I am sitting right there and she is facing me and not the person trying to love on her.

'
We sure love having this sweet girl in our lives!

Easter 2012

We had such a fun Easter this year. The kids were spoiled by the Easter Bunny as you can see

Nixon showing off some of his prizes from his basket.
As you can kinda tell, the Easter Bunny hid eggs all over the house. Nixon was more worried about getting his Lego Guy put together that he didn't want to find any eggs. I had to bribe him to look for them, and even then he didn't find very many. I ended up picking up a bunch of leftover ones and keeping them to myself.

Gwen showing off her sweet new Easter dress, and bow.

I didn't get a picture of Nix in his Easter outfit because he was too excited to come home from church and play with his new baseball and bat. And lets be honest, we never make it to church on time so there was no time to take any pictures before we left.

Nix in his cute new spring outfit, complete with a red punch mustache.

Nix showing off his new bat. We signed him up for his first year of T-Ball. Daddy was so excited to teach him some of his tricks to be a great ball player. They headed outside right as soon as they both got changed out of their church clothes

How to throw the ball like a "man," not "like a girl."

Practicing hitting the ball off the Tee. Nix still needs to figure out how to hit the ball itself and not just the tee. Cute little ball player!

Gweny sitting up big in her cute new spring outfit. She is growing was too fast!

After Nix and Daddy practiced some ball, Blake had to go work at his part-time job and the kids and I went to visit family.
Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera so I didn't get any pictures.
First we went with Blake's family to Woodland Park where we had dutch oven and burgers. We also played some fun games and the kids went on an egg hunt.
After that we went to my parent's house, ate more food, and hunted more eggs.

Lets just say we had eggs coming out of our ears!~

It was also so fun this year to try and explain to Nixon the true meaning of Easter and why we Celebrate it.
I'm so thankful for the knowledge that we have a Savior that was crucified that we might be forgiven for our sins. And even more that he was resurrsurected. This shows us that we have the opportunity to live for Eternity with our Loving Heavenly Father, and especially with our families.

I am so Thankful for this Knowledge!

Dressed up for Christmas

This Year we were so excited that Christmas Day fell on a Sunday. It was the perfect reminder for Nixon what Christmas is really all about. The Church decided to only hold Sacrament Meeting so we could spend time with our families on Christmas Day, but it was a beautiful Sacrament with lots of uplifting beautiful music and awesome speakers that helped us remember our Savior!

The kids got some adorable Christmas Church outfits.
It's always kind of a challenge to get some decent pictures of the kids, and I am not a photographer at all, so needless to say we have to snap quite a few to get a good shot.

Me: "Nixon smile!"
Me: "Nix look at the camera!"
Me: "Nixon! Quit being so silly and smile for Mommy."
SUCCESS!!

And of course trouble with the babe as well.

Better... Showing off her newest trick, bubble blowing.

Best place to be! In Daddy's arms, with a bink!

I have the cutest family! Don't they all look great on such a special day!

Christmas 2011

We had a great Christmas this year! I love Christmas and everything about it. I love spending time with family, and decorating, and of course all the yummy treats and candy that we make!

A tradition that we've always had at my house growing up, that has followed me to my family is that the Elves come and visit on Christmas Eve and leave a present for the kids to open. It has always been new Christmas Pajamas.

Here is Nixon opening his up. We went and looked at lights on Christmas Eve so it was really late when we got home so I didn't get a picture of Nixon or Gwen in their jammies that night. But there are plenty from Christmas morning.
We must have been on the Nice list this year! Look what Santa Clause left!
It is always the best part to see his face when he walks into the Living Room and see all the presents waiting to be opened up. He's sleepy, but excited!
I'm helping Nixon dig into his stocking to see what kind of prizes were in there.
A few of the Uncles helping Gwen check hers out.

She was mad that we wouldn't open the Candy Cane for her. I guess Santa's helpers forgot that she doesn't have any teeth yet.

Blake enjoying the company!

Checking everything out!
This year Nixon was infatuated with everything "Batman" and "Lego guys." One of my brothers still have a bunch of Legos from when he was younger and Nixon has loved building Lego guys with him. That is all he asked Santa for this year was "a green Lego Guy."

Here is a Batman
The first present that Nixon picked up made lots of rattling noise when he shook it and he knew immediately what it was. He ran over to one of the Uncles and wanted them to build it for him right then. He didn't care about any of the rest of the packages waiting to be opened, he wanted to play with the lego guy!

He did of course get a "Green Lego Guy" even though it doesn't prove that in the pictures. In all he got four lego guys, and three really awesome Super Hero Lego guys. An Iron Man, Spiderman, and Captain America. After everything was opened he spent the rest of the morning perched at the table waiting for Daddy, Grandpa, and his Uncles to put together his stash of Legos!
Gwen of course wasn't too sure of what was going on, but she was entertained nonetheless.
Uncle Loren was in charge of helping her open up her presents, and he kept just holding them there in front of her face. I had to remind him that she couldn't open them by herself, then he would use her fingers to open them up. He is silly!

I was THRILLED to get my new Vaccume! I have needed a new one for so long. I got spoiled and the Elves made a special Orack for me, including a stair vaccume! WHOO HOO!
Nixon also got a really cool T-rex Pillow Pet from Aunt Tauna and Uncle Chad. He named it "Rex." Original I know!
A cute hat Grandma Corrie gave him.
Gwen got to the point where she just wanted to lay and kick on the floor, oh and eat the wrapping paper. And did you notice the adorable ornament that Nix made me in the background of this pic! I wish you could see the picture that is in there, it's hilarious!
Me and my boy playing with his new "Leak Pad." I personally LOVE this toy! I think it is such a great thing, and teaches him all sorts of cool things!

Comfy?

The other day I was busy cleaning, Gwenyth was napping and Nixon was playing quietly. When I went to find him to see what he was doing (because normally quiet play means mischief play) this is how I found him.

He was sitting playing his "leak pad" in a very unusual position.
He was so engrossed in his learning game that he didn't even notice me taking pictures of him.
