Gwen 8 Months

On June 1st Miss Gweny turned 8 months old

During her 7th month, Gweny learned to pull up to standing, and to crawl around the room.
She has gotten so quick at moving around, and is getting into everything.

I love this picture of her, but I am really sad at how blurry it is.
She loves the freedom that she has had from being mobile.

She is pretty good at standing, but still learning the ropes.

Gwen still adores her brother and wants to be just like him.
She gets in trouble by him quite often because she always wants to play with his toys.
I don't know if she does it just to tease him,
or just cause she wants to spend time with him.

We love this sweet little lady!

Just Dance

A few weeks ago we were able to go to my cute niece and nephew's dance recital.
Jaycie is in a Jazz class, and Hunter has been taking Hip Hop classes.

It was so fun to watch them.
I love watching the cute little girls in their darling costumes shakin their thing!
Miss Jaycie Lynn, she sure knows how to shake it! She is so cute up on stage!
And Hunter is one little stud, he is probably the best one out there. You can totally tell how much he loves to break it down!
And I was so impressed at this cool "stall" he did on stage. He could hold it for so long! I made him do it again so I could get a picture!
Aren't they darling! It was so fun to watch them!

Privacy

So I think it's time I put my best foot forward and made this blog Private.
You never know who could be out there, and I want to protect my children.

Anyone is invited, just leave me your email address and I will add you.

I will be doing this by the end of the week, so hurry!

HELP!

So I am in desperate need of some Mommy advice.

My Nixon is a very VERY friendly 3 year old.
Which for the most part I think is a good thing.
Until I found him sitting on some strangers lap at the ball park the other day.

It FREAKED ME OUT!!
I told him that we needed to have a talk about strangers and how we don't go talk to people that Mommy doesn't know.
Obviously my talk didn't work because
He proceeded to tell me that he "loved" the girls lap he was sitting on.

So I need ideas of how to scare him just enough not to sit on strangers laps, or get into their cars.
But not so afraid that he won't ever leave the house again.

Final Four

I just found some fun pictures from the year Blake and I got married and wanted to reminisce.
About a month and a half after we went on our honeymoon Blake called me up one day and told me that he won a trip from the radio station to go to San Jose California to go to the Final Four NCAA game. I of course didn't believe him, until he showed me the tickets.

The trip to California was for three days and two nights. Free airfare, hotel stay, and one meal? why only one I have no idea... They should have just gone for the gold! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I Guess these tickets are hard to come by??

Waiting for the shuttle to take us to the Stadium where the game was being played.

(I don't  know why I look so happy in this picture, I must have not known it was being taken!)
Hubbs with the tickets.

Line for the mens bathroom... Yeah you heard me right THE MENS! When I needed to go, I got right in and did my business and Blake was still waiting clear at the end.

A few shots of the game. I don't even remember who was playing that day. I should google it, or ask Blake I'm sure he would remember.

Enjoying the game!

We decided to walk back to the hotel from the game instead of riding the shuttle. We found a park with lots of interesting things
Blake in a log

A funny chair

A tunnel

The tunnel from the outside! It was so tall.

We had so much fun on our FREE trip, I think it's time we won another one. Maybe to some exotic place somewhere.

7 Months

This little Lady just gets prettier the older she gets!

She is sitting up all by herself all the time now, but still needs to learn how to lay down on purpose, and without banging her body on the ground.

Gwen can pick up food and put it in her mouth all by herself. She loves being a big girl and eating snacks alone. Her favorites at the moment are Cheerios

Gwen is getting better at playing on the floor by herself for a short amount of time, as long as she can still see me. If I leave the room she screams till I walk back in, and then she smiles and laughs.

Gweny has learned how to blow raspberries, smack her lips together, and even managed to grow in 2 teeth over the past month. One sticks up quite a bit further than the other one so she looks like a snaggletooth. You can almost see it in the above pic, her bottom left tooth was the first to pop up.

She has even learned to roll in a complete circle and not just do the flip flop motion from side to side. She will play on the floor and then when I look at her after a few minutes she has rolled either across the room, under a table or into some sort of furniture.

And of course, Gwen is still completely infatuated with her brother! She just adores him!

Play Ball!

This year we decided to sign Nixon up for T-Ball. He was so excited to start, we got him a new mitt, and a bat and some balls.
A few weeks before his first game we found out who is coach was and the team he was going to be playing for.

Blake was thrilled when we found out Nixon would be representing the Red Sox because they are his favorite team.

Nixon's first game was a few weeks ago.
Up to bat.
I love that they coach pitch the ball to the kids and if they don't hit it after a certain amount of tries than they pull out the tee.
It took Nixon a little while to get the hang of holding the bat right, and when he would swing he would spin in a complete circle
He didn't hit it the first few times, and when they would pull out the tee, instead of hitting the ball he would push it off with his bat.

And as you can tell he gets bored when it's their turn in the outfield. He always complains because the other kids get the ball before he does. Hmmm.... I wonder why? Those weeds in the grass are pretty distracting if you ask me!

This was his game tonight.
Team hudle before the game. Nixon is Rockin' the #5!

He is starting to do better each time he plays. He hit the ball on the first pitch each time he was up to bat tonight. He did so great!

Hopefully by the time he plays next year he won't have to have a stick marking the place where he is supposed to stand, and make the team call him by a superhero name. Today it was "Ben 10" and the opposing team was "aliens" that he was "shooting."

Boys are so funny!

6 Months

STATS:
Weight- 16 lbs 0 oz  40%
Length- 27 in 75%
Head- 17 in 50%

Some fun facts about Miss Gwen this month.
She loves anything that is her brother's. If he is playing with a toy, she wants it. I don't know if it's because she thinks it's cool cause he likes it or if she wants to make him mad because she wants it.

She Loves her Feet. She especially likes to suck on her toes, I think it's just because she has figured out how to get them there!

She loves being outside. Now that it's getting warmer outside we've taken her out a little bit. She loves feeling the cool breeze on her face and just breathing fresh air.

She has gotten quite a personality and loves to make noise. She sometimes yells just to hear herself yell. Or will sing along with Nixon and I in the car (because we have a few favorites that he jam to quite often.)

She has major "stranger danger" and doesn't want someone she doesn't know holding her. The only time it is ok is if I am sitting right there and she is facing me and not the person trying to love on her.

'
We sure love having this sweet girl in our lives!

Easter 2012

We had such a fun Easter this year. The kids were spoiled by the Easter Bunny as you can see

Nixon showing off some of his prizes from his basket.
As you can kinda tell, the Easter Bunny hid eggs all over the house. Nixon was more worried about getting his Lego Guy put together that he didn't want to find any eggs. I had to bribe him to look for them, and even then he didn't find very many. I ended up picking up a bunch of leftover ones and keeping them to myself.

Gwen showing off her sweet new Easter dress, and bow.

I didn't get a picture of Nix in his Easter outfit because he was too excited to come home from church and play with his new baseball and bat. And lets be honest, we never make it to church on time so there was no time to take any pictures before we left.

Nix in his cute new spring outfit, complete with a red punch mustache.

Nix showing off his new bat. We signed him up for his first year of T-Ball. Daddy was so excited to teach him some of his tricks to be a great ball player. They headed outside right as soon as they both got changed out of their church clothes

How to throw the ball like a "man," not "like a girl."

Practicing hitting the ball off the Tee. Nix still needs to figure out how to hit the ball itself and not just the tee. Cute little ball player!

Gweny sitting up big in her cute new spring outfit. She is growing was too fast!

After Nix and Daddy practiced some ball, Blake had to go work at his part-time job and the kids and I went to visit family.
Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera so I didn't get any pictures.
First we went with Blake's family to Woodland Park where we had dutch oven and burgers. We also played some fun games and the kids went on an egg hunt.
After that we went to my parent's house, ate more food, and hunted more eggs.

Lets just say we had eggs coming out of our ears!~

It was also so fun this year to try and explain to Nixon the true meaning of Easter and why we Celebrate it.
I'm so thankful for the knowledge that we have a Savior that was crucified that we might be forgiven for our sins. And even more that he was resurrsurected. This shows us that we have the opportunity to live for Eternity with our Loving Heavenly Father, and especially with our families.

I am so Thankful for this Knowledge!
