Gwen 8 Months

On June 1st Miss Gweny turned 8 months old

During her 7th month, Gweny learned to pull up to standing, and to crawl around the room.
She has gotten so quick at moving around, and is getting into everything.

I love this picture of her, but I am really sad at how blurry it is.
She loves the freedom that she has had from being mobile.

She is pretty good at standing, but still learning the ropes.

Gwen still adores her brother and wants to be just like him.
She gets in trouble by him quite often because she always wants to play with his toys.
I don't know if she does it just to tease him,
or just cause she wants to spend time with him.

We love this sweet little lady!

7 Months

This little Lady just gets prettier the older she gets!

She is sitting up all by herself all the time now, but still needs to learn how to lay down on purpose, and without banging her body on the ground.

Gwen can pick up food and put it in her mouth all by herself. She loves being a big girl and eating snacks alone. Her favorites at the moment are Cheerios

Gwen is getting better at playing on the floor by herself for a short amount of time, as long as she can still see me. If I leave the room she screams till I walk back in, and then she smiles and laughs.

Gweny has learned how to blow raspberries, smack her lips together, and even managed to grow in 2 teeth over the past month. One sticks up quite a bit further than the other one so she looks like a snaggletooth. You can almost see it in the above pic, her bottom left tooth was the first to pop up.

She has even learned to roll in a complete circle and not just do the flip flop motion from side to side. She will play on the floor and then when I look at her after a few minutes she has rolled either across the room, under a table or into some sort of furniture.

And of course, Gwen is still completely infatuated with her brother! She just adores him!

Fun

This is how I found Nixon the other day. Once again playing with his favorite toy, his "leak pad." He doesn't look entirely comfortable, but who am I to say.

I think I may have already mentioned this, but this is probably the best toy investment that we have ever made. It was kinda pricy, but it is awesome! The games teach him how to draw shapes, find patterns and write letters and recognize letters as well. There are also books that can be downloaded that he loves to look at and read along with. Needless to say we go through quite a few batteries for this thing! (I need to invest in rechargeable ones, that would be far more economical)

And Gwen can sit up all by herself already! Just in time for her Six-Month Birthday! She sat this way for a good 20 minutes. I of course don't trust her on her own yet so I stayed right there cause she still does have a tendency to topple. She loves that she can have a good look at everything that is going on around her. And I think that she loves being so big like her brother.
